Crooked Creek Acre

Located in Central Florida

Crooked Creek is a twelve-stall boarding facility in the Lake Mary/Sanford area, between Lake Mary Boulevard and the north shore of Lake Jesup in southern Sanford, Seminole County, Florida. There are 2 barns located on the 10-acre property. We offer only a full board option, and limit our property to 12 horses.

Riding Options

Crooked Creek offers several different riding areas to enjoy with your horse. We have both a flat and a jump ring. We have lights for riding at night. Boarders also enjoy riding in an adjoining 3-acre grassy field , down our shady lanes, and through a wooded area with trails that wander next to a stream.

We are also fortunate to be located near Lake Jesup Park, with over 600 acres covered with trails. The trails are well maintained and many of them are shaded. This virtually private paradise is a frequent destination for the boarders of Crooked Creek. We're trying to keep it a secret.

Turnout

Horses enjoy daily turnout, either during the day or at night. There is plenty of grass in our fields and paddocks.

Crooked Creek has eight turnout paddocks of various sizes. We are able to accomodate horses that like to hang out with friends, as well as those that prefer to be by themselves. Some of our horses spend the day (or night) on an adjoining property -- a 10-acre shaded field with a pond. We believe a horse should have the room to behave like a horse.

Care and Safety

One of the barn managers lives on the property, so the horses' health and safety can be monitored at all times.

Horses are fed in the morning and evening, and receive hay (T & A) between meals in their stalls and in the paddocks when grass is low.. Stalls are cleaned daily. We feed a good quality Seminole feed, but will be happy to accomodate special food requirements and supplements you provide.

Boarders

Boarders at Crooked Creek ride both English and Western. Some boarders like to go to local shows, others prefer trail riding. Outside trainers are welcome. Trainers of many different disciplines visit the Farm.

We have a tack room with rest room, water cooler and refrigerator.

Crooked Creek boarders love field trips. Sometimes we take the horses to area Parks and Preserves for trail-riding. We have gone on camping trips -- with the horses, of course. We also love to have picnics and barbecues at the farm.

Crooked Creek currently has stalls available!
